Uses
Field of use and producible energy
Spyragen works with heads between 0.5 and 10 m, producing energy within that niche otherwise left uncovered by the most common Generators, in particular the production of energy is optimised when the water flow is between 0.5 and 6 m3/sec.
The potential energy proceeds can be calculated using the simplified formula:
W = H x ρ x Q x G x η
Dove:
W = Power [kW]
H = Head [m]
ρ = Specific weight (water) [kg/m3]
Q = Flow rate [m3/s]
G = Gravitational acceleration [m/s]
η = Generator Total efficiency
Spyragen mini hydro Generators can be installed near cascades that are found along small streams such as:
- Natural drainage
- Irrigation canals
- Derivations of various kinds
- Industrial channels
- Outlets from sewage plants
- Waterfalls
Spyragen allows the recovery of unused hours from old water mills, and also combines the production of clean energy with the architectural restoration of landscape features.
